The major work, which illustrates the Gospel, reveals the Church as its divine Founder intended, the Founder who faced martyrdom to strengthen its foundation.
The other works, containing teachings and advice for our time, denounce the intellectual and moral corruption that weakens the Church and is the cause of the world’s greatest evils.
It is a book that impresses with its relevance.
Here is what Jesus said to Maria Valtorta on April 25, 1948: “In truth, a large part of the population is like a wilderness.
It is hostile because it does not know the Church.
When I speak of the Church, I am not referring to the image its ministers too often present.
Many times, it would be better if it were not known. Rather, I am saying that this part of the population does not know the Church as I founded it, animated by my spirit: love, brotherhood, fatherhood.”
