The events described are rich in detail, including references to the night sky and its stars. Everything is surprisingly precise, allowing, through the use of astronomical calculation programs, a detailed chronological reconstruction of the narrated events of Jesus’ life. This distinctive feature, unique in the history of Christianity, of Maria Valtorta’s writings warrants their being called a true “intellectual miracle.”
Liberato De Caro, a physicist and researcher at the National Research Council’s Institute of Crystallography, Bari branch, is the author of numerous scientific papers published in international journals. Married and the father of two daughters, he completed his theological studies, required for the Permanent Diaconate, at the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences Odegitria and the Oasi San Martino of the Diocese of Bari-Bitonto.
